TEAMS - U17

The u17s were away today at Brighouse Juniors and despite a lack of players, turned up in good spirits.
We started the game with 11 but within the first 10 mins one of our players got clipped across the face and had to leave with a suspected broken nose, so we played on with 10.

We played some great organised football and quickly went 2 up. We continued to play well and were unfortunate to concede 2 own goals.

In the 2nd half we had one of the u15s support us and bring us back to 11 on the pitch. The weather and the fact we were playing with 10 in the first half showed in the 2nd, we tired a little and conceded a goal before coming back to equalise not long after.

The winning goal was gained in the final minutes finishing 4-3 to Clough.

A great match to watch.

A great performance from the u17s today joined by 2 from the u16s and an appearance from Rowan from the u15s plus one of of our old guard.

Reverting back to our old 4-4-2 style Joe and Oggy (Lucas) made a tremendous paring up front and fed well off each other to create some great chances.

We were strong in midfield, with Fin dancing around players and making some great forward runs. Great support from Riley, Hassan, Reyhaan, Will Rowan and Jacob.

The defense held up well as we have come to expect from them, great performances from Teddy, Jamie, Evan and Superstar free kick taker Connor.

Cobie battled a bobbly goal mouth and a the sun in his eyes to make some great saves.
